Modern touch solutions are based on capacitive operating elements and are perfectly suited for professional HMI applications due to their smooth closed surfaces. Depending on the application, capacitive sensors or touchscreens come into question.  

Capacitive sensors generate an electric field. When the surface is touched, the capacitance changes, which is measured and converted into a digital signal. They are used in modern joysticks and switches and are ergonomically sophisticated and adaptable. Equipped with a dead-man's button, they are ideal for safety-critical applications in demanding areas, for example agriculture, construction, industry, heavy-duty traffic.  

In capacitive HMI panels, a foil membrane or thin glass serves as the carrier material. Thanks to the almost full transparency, this HMI technology is mainly used in combination with touch displays. 

A flat construction and various display surfaces such as glass, glass-break-sensitive front foils or non-conductive materials allow an almost limitless individual design. 

In the development of the panels, buttons, keypads, complete keyboards, sliders and area sensors are used depending on the available surface. Your HMI project is realised individually according to the required size, sensitivity, interface and functions.
